Legal proceedings conducted before internal tribunals of various sporting associations in Israel and abroad (FIFA, CAS, FIBA) are characterized by unique sets of rules, regulations and procedures. Such proceedings are partially based on specific legislation and case law, which must be considered in order to successfully represent the client.
The attorneys in the firm’s Sports department have over three decades of experience and are extremely knowledgeable on the bylaws of various sports associations and the unique rules that apply to the tribunals, and we represent Israel’s top athletes and sports clubs in various proceedings.
Clients
ZAG-S&W’s Sports department successfully represented Ben Reichert in the arbitration proceedings with Hapoel Tel Aviv FC. The department regularly represents the Hapoel Sports Association, the largest sports organization in Israel which acts as an umbrella organization for approximately half of the sporting associations in the country, including representing in legal proceedings before various judicial instances.
